What is the purpose of the project?
The project will enhance safety and intersection operations as well as provide better pedestrian and transit connectivity.
When will the project be finished?
The project is expected to be substantially complete in early November. Landscaping, permanent traffic signals and permanent pavement markings will be completed in early 2020.
What is the cost of the project?
The project is estimated to cost $5.89 million and includes Sales Tax and Motor Fuel Tax funds.
Will the red light photo enforcement cameras be active during construction?
Red light photo enforcement equipment will be permanently removed as part of the project.
Will construction impact access to local businesses?
Access to businesses will remain open throughout the project; there will be minor delays periodically. Temporary lane closures are permitted between off-peak rush hours; these will reduce traffic by one lane and may cause short delays.
Will new lanes be added?
Yes; right turn lanes are being added to both southbound Hunt Club Road and eastbound Grand Avenue. Left turn lanes in both directions will also be added to Hunt Club Road making dual left turn lanes.
Will Pace bus service be available during construction?
Yes, Pace will continue to provide service. The project includes the reconstruction of the existing bus stop on Hunt Club Road and a temporary bus stop will be provided during construction.
